Mr. Pete Rusaw's class was asked, "What I know about fantasy baseball?"

Briona Campbell says
There isn't much I know about fantasy baseball, but what I do know is that it is based off of real players and real teams from the MLB. You can use their statistics to find which players you want on your team. In fantasy baseball they draft people, also like they do in the MLB. The results of the actual players in games, effect the fantasy league. That is really all I can tell you about fantasy baseball, and if it weren't for Mr. Rusaw, I wouldn't know a thing!

Justin Seitz says:
Fantasy sports is a game made for the sixth man in everyone. It's a game of knowledge, some luck, and especially statistics.

Statistics can give you an edge over most people in fantasy sports because others just play the game with there knowledge of the game. If you take the players predicted season stats and make a formula to compare the players, you can draft your fantasy team more effectively.

Mike Jantzen says:
I have never played fantasy baseball before, let alone know how any fantasy sports work. I do play baseball for the highschool, so I know all the rules and how many players are where and such... From what I do know about fantasy sports, you draft a team from all the teams throughout the league, and how they do in real life affects how your team does... I think.

Tia Asanovic says:
I don't know a whole lot about fantasy baseball, but I do know that it involves real Major League Baseball Players. I know that you draft certain players in MLB that you want on your team and how your players play in real life affects your fantasy baseball team. I also know that it is important to draft players according to their stats. Usually if they have a good batting average, they are a good player. However, there are some other things you need to look for as well, I just don't know what those things are. Fantasy baseball seems very competitive, but I think a lot of it has to do with luck.

Koda Matiaco says:
I personally don't know much about fantasy sports despite being so active on the "vote for Pete" campaign.  BTW: Facebook was a great tool for getting votes!  I got people from Germany, France, Poland, Brazil and even within our own country through facebook!

There is one thing I do know though.  You don't have to have any experience with sports, but just be good at plugging in numbers and using statistics to help determine the odds of a personal player playing to his best.

There was another rumor that some people get paid for fantasy sports.  I am still looking into that.

Kay Kline says:
I don't know to much on Fantasy Baseball in fact I don't even know anything on real Baseball. I would like to learn more on it, so I can get the hang of it. But here are some of the things that I do know: All players are based on actual players in the real life, so if a player gets hurt so does your fantasy player. You have 1 catchers, a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd baseman, short stop, 3 outfielders, utility, 2 relief pitchers, 4 starting pitchers, 3 benchers, 2 other pitchers (benched), and 1 disabled list (which I so greatly learned from Mr. Rusaw last class). I'm still kind of skeptical on how drafting the players work, and still need help with that? But I am looking and reading on the website to get some insight.
Tyson Heesacker says:

I know a little about fantasy baseball. I recently just finished fantasy football an I know that you have to have a player that plays each position and for baseball you have five pitchers or something liike that. You have so many players because not every player/ pitcher plays every day. The only thing I am not sure of is how they work the standings and the point system for it, but by the end it will be crystal clear

David Bauders says:
What I know about Fantasy Baseball: A group of people set up their own league, which contains unique rules and regulations, such as which baseball league to use (American or National). Also, there are scoring categories such as which person in the league has the player with the highest RBI, home runs etc.. People in the fantasy baseball league choose real baseball players and use their statistics from their performances in the game to determine the winner in each category. In the beginning, there is a draft in which the people participating in the league choose the baseball players they believe to have the best potential. However, injured players or players who arn't living up to their potential can be traded or benched. At the end of a given season, the winner of the fantasy baseball league is determined.
