1) Why are people drafting Joe Mauer in round 1? Has any catcher lived up to a first round selection since Mike Piazza (possibly enhanced)? Then the fact that Joe Mauer is actually playing in a new stadium this season, doesn’t worry you? Is it a hitters or pitchers park? Then Mr. Amaro Jr proceeded to grace the Caucasian Charles Barkley with a three year, $24 million contract to pitch for the Phillies. Cliff Lee or Joe Blanton is such a no-brainer that even Ed Wade could have made the right call.

The Cardinals appeared to be the only bidders in this process. If the Cardinals had shopped around maybe UNICEF would have been cheaper.
