WHOS THE CLOSER
It may really be a battle . OPINION?  CLICK HERE   OPINION?

Ryan Church - .311BA, 9 HR 32 RBI  42 games before injury. Good end game pick NL Only

Gabby Sanchez  MVP AA, went 3-8 in a brief MLB appearance. Gets 1st crack at 1st

Michael Bourn - Hit .195 April,  214 May. Will bat down in order to start year. I dont like 1 catagory players

Gabe Kapler - 301, 8 HR  38 RBI 96 games. Kapler will platoon with Gross to start year

Ryan Sweeney -  Will hit leadoff as he reminds me of Jeremy Giambi, but better 6'4 220 . Speed is there, power to come 15 HR 20 SB

I think Lou Pinella is saying all the right things about the closer situation. He respects Gregg and will give him that respect by saying that there will be competition. But if both guys pitch well in Spring then I think Marmol is the man.

Pinella loves Marmol as shown by the amount of innings he pitched last year. But having said that, if Gregg pitches very, very well then Pinella may give him the job and use Marmol to face 5 or 6 hitters in a game as he did last year.

As fantasy players we are all hoping that the closer is Marmol. But if it isn't I think Marmol still has some significant fantasy value.
WHAT PRICE 4 PRICE?

Lenny, I have been trying to test the waters for David Price...the best offer so far was 13.10 and 14.3. We have a H2H 14 team 12 plyer keeper lge. If I trade Price for those low picks I could keep Delgado or Danks or Butler or Avails but this is a Keeper league and it is difficult to find good pitching. If Price excells in the next two-three years I would have Lackey, Webb, Hamels and Price as my starters which would be a nice foursome to compete against any other lineup. Yet names alone do not make the team. It is rare to find a pitcher with the expectations of Price. Do I fish or cut bait?

Keepers: Wright, Soriano, Miggy, Ellsbury, Chris Young OF, Dustin Pedroia, Alex Gordon, Hamels, Webb, Jenks, Lackey, Price

May the GodFather speak blessings!
