Over at Tom Tango's blog, he was running a contest for the various projection systems out there in baseball- the Forecasters' Challenge 2009.

We went up against 22 other projection systems, including Marcel's, RotoWorld, ZiPS, Razzball.com, CHONE, PECOTA, KFFL, AskRotoman.com and a host of others. Congratulations to Mike Podhorzer! There is still a month to go, but it is obvious that Mike did an AWESOME job with his projections, and we have the ONLY interactive projections in the industry! Remember that next year when you are signing up at those other sites.

Once again, kudos to Mike for taking FantasyPros911.com to a clean sweep of the 22 systems in the 2009 Forecaster's Challenge!

Tim, there were actually 42 different "drafts" so there is no 1 lineup any of our projection systems drafted. However, it is likely that each forecasting system drafted a lot of the same players on all their "teams". I was going to ask Tom which players I drafted a majority of the time, but I figured I shouldn't jump the gun. If i win for the entire season, then it is worth finding out, but not until then!

Congratulations! I've looked around, but I can't find the link to the lineup you drafted. Can you post that?

Just to clarify how this head-to-head contest worked, we were each pitted in individual matchups against the other 21 forecasters, drafting two teams each versus each projection set. One set where you draft first, the other where you draft second. So that is why there were 42 decisions with 22 total participants.

It figures that I finish undefeated in this little contest 5 months in, yet my actual fantasy teams are no better than 4th.

Hey great news guys. I knew there was a reason I signed up for the Premium Side with you guys. BTW, I'm in first, 18 point lead, yup money is coming to papa this year. Thanks for all the help. Between Mike's projections, Lenny's podcast, the 1-800 phone line, why pay $100 for second when I paid $29.99 for first. MY ROI is huge. Thanks guys, and already looking forward to signing up next year.
