There I said it.
For the most part here at FantasyPros911.com, I try to stay out of the thick of things. I let our writers be as creative as possible, I let the editors do what they feel will help spark interest, and I only apply pressure when needed. But this is horse sh*t. This rant was not meant to be edited, so if it doesn't follow the norm here at "Club FP911" I apologize. How does a "Man" get away with driving drunk, killing a man, yes killing a man -- mind you, this was a man that was crossing the street on his way to work --, and spending only 24 days in jail. You read that right 24 days, not even the 30 he was suppose too; but I'll get to that a little later. In a country when the rich get away with murder, it's the family, friends, and co-workers of the man that was killed that suffer the most here. How can anyone in their right mind not sentence this douche bag for a longer sentence? Where is PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment for Animals)? Oh that's right it wasn't a dog that was killed like in the Michael Vick case. Vick gets a longer sentence for killing dogs than Stallworth gets for killing a man. -- Please note that I support PETA, but am using them to prove a point here so please don't send the hate mail. -- So what you're telling me is that a man's life is worth less than a dog’s life? Bull sh*t!!! Am I anger, just a little. Stallworth, if I didn't mention this already is a Punk Ass B*etch. This was a guy who was driving drunk, at 7:00 am in the morning, and hit a guy in Miami as he was on his way to work to support his family. How do you live with yourself? The family received an undisclosed amount of cash in a settlement, but how does that replace a husband, father, brother, or uncle? I'm not one to get all political up in here, many of my co-workers at my 9-to-5 job say I'm quiet, but this F’in crap. Oh ya, the league will "probably" come down on Stallworth, but at the end of the day, he'll be back in the NFL making millions playing for the Browns. What's that you're saying, "He'll pay his debt to society Paul after leaving jail after 24 days?" Really? Really? That's right too, he's only spending 24 days out of the 30 days because Stallworth already spent one day in jail, and gets a reduction in jail time of five days for every month spent in jail. So pull out your fingers and count'em up boys and girls, that's six days already off of his sentence. Oh ya, one more thing, Stallworth has a life ban on driving, but I'm sure with all the flow he has coming his way over the several years it won't be hard for him to hire someone to drive for him. Maybe this asshole should have thought of that the night he tried to drive home drunk and killed someone. Drunk drivers suck, but people that kill and only get 24 days in jail are Punk Ass B*tches.

A Disgrace
written by Corey, June 18, 2009
This speaks to our society, where a man can kill another man through recklessness and get away with it by giving the family hush money. I heard Roger Cossack talking about it, saying that Stallworth is spending 1/24th of the time that Vick spent in jail was because Vick's dogfighting was "recurring"; Stallworth supposedly has never and will never drive drunk. I don't understand it, and kudos to you for taking a stance.
Unfortunately

The System curtails to the rich.
He made a monetary settlement from what I heard with the family so I think that played a big part in this joke of a sentence. He drives drunk and gets 24 days in jail while killing someone. I had 2 DUIs and there were no fatalities or property damage of any kind and I received 30 days in jail. This also happened in the NFL with Leonard Little of the Rams he killed someone in a drunk driving accident and his sentence was just as riduculous without the research I could not tell you all the details of that one. I hope the NFL bans him for life just like his driving privledges.
Yo F that Mother F'er

I with you here Paul. This dude is trash. I'll tell you what, you put me and they rest of these clowns here in a room with Stall, and let us handle our business for 5 minutes. That's all, just 5 minutes.
I bet we give him more justice than the justice system. This is bull Sh*t.
I'm pulling the man card

I'll tell you what, great topic. This punk ass should have the key thrown away. This is why I really hate defense lawyers. How do they sleep at night defending guys like this? He pleads guilty, put his ass in jail.
Paul, thanks for bringing this to the forefront man. This is why I respect this site. You guys aren't afraid to tell it like it is.
Couldn't Agree More
written by LB, June 17, 2009
Hey Paul,
I couldn't agree more. I mean comon, 24 days in jail for taking a life. Other people are put in for years, sometimes life. But 24 days? I hope Roger Goodell suspends him for the entire 2009-2010 season at the least. I just don't seem to get the world sometimes.
I hate Stallworth
written by Kyle Botter, June 17, 2009
Not only is he a terrible player, but now a terrible person.
Paul this was a great rant, and it's refreshing to sometimes step back from our little fantasy world and hit on some meaningful topics. Always appreciate your point of view.

Righteous rant Paul. The more apt comparison is the trial of the guy who drove drunk and killed Angels pitcher Nick Adenhart. I'll bet he gets a lot more than 30 days.
News is not reporting that Stallworth also gets two years of house arrest after his jail time. Let's hope that does not include permission to travel for football purposes - but I ain't holding my breath. I am a huge animal lover, very active in my community on animal control issues, and am constantly amazed by how animal cruelty gets folks a whole more riled up than the death of a human being.
100% agree written by Kelly Whitmore, June 17, 2009
WOW...I think you summed it up nicely Paul. I 100% agree with you. This guy is getting off way to easy. I hope the great Browns fans let him have it every time he steps on the field this year and next. I feel bad for the family, this should never, ever happen to anyone. But because he's an athlete, and I'll use that word loosely, he gets away with it.
